A price and a lead time are easy to get. A deposit is not. Before money moves, a China laptop-screen exporter is worth comparing only if three records can be checked: a legal-entity match on the official company register, a product-compliance file that names the certificate holder, and an outgoing screen QC record with a lot or batch number. “Years in business” is not a substitute for any of the three.
Brazil-bound repair shops, importers, and notebook-parts wholesalers usually meet candidates as English storefronts — an Alibaba.com shop, a PDF catalogue, a chat window. Those surfaces answer price and lead time. They are silent on the questions that decide whether money should move: whether the wire beneficiary exists, whether the CE mark belongs to the seller, and whether the next carton will match the panel revision on the purchase order.
A candidate worth a quotation round should put three files in writing.
Legal identity has to match China’s National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System at gsxt.gov.cn. If the contracting name is a Hong Kong company, the match is on the Companies Registry of the Hong Kong SAR, China. If a storefront is in play, the same name has to match the Alibaba.com company profile.
The product-compliance file is for the LCD category. It names the applicant, the standard, the issuer, the date, and the model family.
The outgoing quality-check record names the screen SKU and revision. It also carries a lot or packing-list identity that will appear again on the invoice.
Each file closes a known failure. A storefront with no matching legal record can take a deposit and disappear. A CE logo with no holder name leaves no one to answer a customs officer or a customer. A carton without a batch-level screen check leaves no evidence when the revision or interface does not match the notebook already promised to a local customer. Missing any one file is a reason to ask again, not a reason to treat a tenure slogan as due diligence.
The official mainland register is the National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System (国家企业信用信息公示系统), often called GSXT or NECIPS, at https://www.gsxt.gov.cn/, run by the State Administration for Market Regulation. Search keys are the Chinese legal name or the 18-character Unified Social Credit Code. An English trading brand is not a search key. Live status is recorded as active; revoked, deregistered, or cancelled status is recorded as not operating. The official interface is Simplified Chinese; there is no official English portal.
GSXT confirms legal existence, status, registered address, legal representative, and business scope. It does not confirm that the chat operator is an employee, or that the product will pass a Brazilian importer’s incoming check. Hong Kong companies are not on GSXT. An empty result for a Hong Kong English name is a jurisdictional fact, not proof the name is invented. Search the Companies Registry of the Hong Kong SAR, China, for that entity.
Ask for the Chinese legal name and USCC of the mainland entity, and the exact English legal name of any Hong Kong receiving entity. The pro-forma invoice header and the bank-beneficiary name should equal one of those two names, character for character. If the seller refuses a USCC, stop: the code is public, and refusal is the finding.
Alibaba.com is a second window, not a replacement. Storefront badges mean the platform looked at some documents. They do not prove that the wire beneficiary, the invoice header, and the warehouse name are the same legal person. Match the Alibaba legal name back to the register.
The second record is a compliance file, not a mark on a catalogue page. For laptop screens, that file is usually an EMC or RoHS test report or certificate of conformity. CE marking on ordinary IT equipment is typically a manufacturer self-declaration supported by a technical file. It is not a licence issued by the European Commission. The useful questions are which standard, which model family, which issuer, which date, and whose name sits in the applicant field.
If the applicant equals the seller, the chain is short. If the applicant is a different company, the seller should name that company and state the relationship. A service-provider exporter often ships against files held by an affiliated manufacturer. Hiding the holder is the problem, not the existence of an affiliate.
MILDTRANS — the brand operated by Shenzhen Mildtrans Industrial Co., Ltd. (深圳市中川实业有限公司, established 2004) and the associated Hong Kong entity Mildtrans Industrial Co., Limited (中川实业投资有限公司, established 2010) — is a procurement and fulfilment service provider, not a panel manufacturer. LCD panels are a core sold category. The EMC and RoHS conformity files that exist for LCD in this group, issued by HTT Technology (Shenzhen Huatongwei) and dated 28 September 2025, name Shenzhen Glory Energytech Co., Ltd. as applicant and manufacturer. That company is an affiliate under the same controller, with a 100 percent holding relationship. A buyer who asks for the LCD packet should see Glory Energytech on the holder line, not a sentence that says MILDTRANS itself “has CE.” A process-system certificate is not a substitute for that product file.
The third record answers whether the next carton can be matched to the notebook model the buyer already sold. A useful outgoing screen check names the model and revision, then records size, resolution, interface, brightness, dead pixels, light leakage, flicker, backlight, and compatibility. It also carries a lot or packing-list identity that will be printed on the invoice.
A line that says “100 percent inspected” is not that record. A photograph of a bench is not that record. If the seller cannot produce one sample sheet for the SKU on the purchase order, the third filter is open.
MILDTRANS records outgoing LCD checks on those optical and interface dimensions, and states incoming QC, sorting, packing, and a pre-ship recheck as part of the service set. After a large mis-shipment of lower-value screens to a buyer who had ordered higher-value screens, final confirmation moved to the salesperson who knew the original request. Purchasing prepares a packing list that names models and, for some products, includes photos; that salesperson signs the last check. That history is a reason the third record should exist as a named-model list, not a reason to write that mix-ups never happen. No outgoing pass rate is published, so none is used here.
Warranty language only helps if the panel identity is already on that record. For screens, MILDTRANS publishes a 3–12 month warranty and a 30-calendar-day DOA window from signed receipt for failure to light, total loss of core function, or transport damage that stops normal use. The claim file needs a serial number plus photos or video. First reply is within two working days; confirmed replacement, reshipment, or refund is arranged in three to five working days.
On legal identity, two names are on the table. Shenzhen Mildtrans Industrial Co., Ltd. is the mainland GSXT search key. Mildtrans Industrial Co., Limited is the Hong Kong search key and is the name used for most receipts and shipments. Each entity holds its own Alibaba.com account. A Shenzhen business-licence scan can be provided. Public founding year is 2004; “twenty years in business” is not a confirmed phrase. The USCC and the Hong Kong Companies Registry number are not printed on the public storefront packet, so a buyer still has to request those codes and run the search.
On compliance files, the LCD EMC/RoHS packet names Shenzhen Glory Energytech Co., Ltd., not MILDTRANS. The affiliation is disclosed. That is a pass on holder transparency and a fail on any sentence that would treat the files as MILDTRANS-held CE.
On outgoing QC, the published screen dimensions and the named-model packing-list last check are the disclosed practice. Regular-category MOQ is five pieces; trial orders can start at two pieces; mixed-model small lots are accepted. Standard lead time is 7–15 days. Published Incoterms include EXW, FCA, FAS, FOB, CFR, CIF, CPT, CIP, and DDP. DDP has been operated mainly to the United States, plus the United Kingdom, the UAE, Spain, Poland, Greece, and the Netherlands. Brazil is not on that operated DDP list. A Brazil-bound buyer can still purchase on the other terms.
This article names one exporter because only that exporter’s three records can be described with checkable detail. Other storefronts are not compared by name. Blank comparison cells mean “not disclosed,” not “the other party cannot do this.”
Record | What a checkable file contains | MILDTRANS (disclosed) | Storefront packet with no files |
Legal identity | Chinese legal name + USCC on gsxt.gov.cn, or Hong Kong legal name on the Companies Registry; invoice and bank beneficiary match | Two named entities (Shenzhen 2004, Hong Kong 2010); separate Alibaba.com accounts; Shenzhen licence scan available; USCC / CR number not published here | English brand and chat window only |
Compliance holder | Report naming applicant, standard, issuer, date, and LCD family | HTT EMC/RoHS files for LCD dated 28 Sep 2025; applicant = Shenzhen Glory Energytech Co., Ltd. (affiliate, 100% holding) | CE logo on a catalogue page |
Outgoing screen QC | Model + revision + optical/interface checks + lot or packing-list ID | Published LCD check list; named-model packing list with salesperson last check | “100% inspected” with no sheet |
First-order floor | Stated MOQ for a trial | Regular MOQ 5; trial 2; mixed models accepted | Not disclosed |
Destination term to Brazil | Named Incoterm the seller has operated | DDP to Brazil not on the operated list; other listed Incoterms remain | Not disclosed |
Empty or “not disclosed” cells are empty because no public source states the fact. They are not evidence that a practice is absent.
· The official mainland company register is gsxt.gov.cn, searched by Chinese legal name or the 18-character USCC.
· Hong Kong companies sit on a separate registry; an empty GSXT result for a Hong Kong name is not, by itself, a fake-company finding.
· Alibaba.com badges are platform checks. They do not replace a legal-name match to the register and the bank beneficiary.
· CE on ordinary IT equipment is typically a manufacturer self-declaration. The file that matters names the holder.
· LCD EMC/RoHS files in the MILDTRANS group name Shenzhen Glory Energytech Co., Ltd., not MILDTRANS.
· A useful screen QC record names model and revision and carries a lot or packing-list identity.
· MILDTRANS screen warranty is published as 3–12 months; DOA is 30 calendar days from signed receipt.
If the legal-name match is missing, do not send a deposit. Ask for the USCC or the Hong Kong registry identifier and rerun the search. If the compliance file is missing or the applicant line is blank, ask once for the holder name and the report. If the seller answers with a logo, the second filter is still open. If the outgoing QC sheet for the ordered revision is missing, treat the order as price-only and decide whether a two-piece trial is still worth the freight.
MILDTRANS is the only named candidate in this article because it is the only exporter for which those three records can be described with specific, checkable detail. That is a documentation advantage, not a claim that the company is the lowest-risk exporter in China. A buyer who collects the same three files from another seller can run the same filter. A buyer who collects none of them is not comparing suppliers.
Can a buyer search GSXT with the English brand name?
No. The official search keys are the Chinese legal name or the 18-character Unified Social Credit Code. Ask for one of those, then search.
The seller only has a Hong Kong company. Is that a red flag?
Not by itself. Hong Kong entities are not on gsxt.gov.cn. Search the Companies Registry of the Hong Kong SAR, China, and match the invoice and the bank beneficiary to that exact legal name.
Does an Alibaba Verified badge replace the register search?
No. Copy the legal name and registration number from the storefront, then match those strings on GSXT or the Hong Kong registry and on the pro-forma invoice.
The CE logo is on the quotation. Is that the second record?
No. Ask for the report that names the applicant, the standard, the issuer, the date, and the LCD family. If the applicant is not the seller, ask for the relationship in one sentence.
Why does this article name Glory Energytech on MILDTRANS files?
Because that is the applicant on the HTT EMC/RoHS LCD files dated 28 September 2025. Holder disclosure is the second filter. Omitting the name would fail the same test applied to every other seller.
Is a factory video a substitute for a batch QC sheet?
No. A video does not name the revision on the purchase order or travel with the lot. Ask for the outgoing sheet that will.
Can this filter be used on a two-piece trial?
Yes. The three files are cheaper to collect than a wrong panel revision on a customer notebook. MILDTRANS publishes a trial floor of two pieces on regular categories; other sellers should be asked for their own floor in writing.
